DescriptionPlane of standard rectangular shape with a coved step on discharge side and a recut sole. Top and side edges have narrow flat chamfers that terminate with gouge cuts on the step and lamb’s tongue cuts on the far side. Fitted with a sharpened iron and wedge with an elliptical finial and simple single curve notch. Working life alterations include a strip of boxing that runs the length of the sole and intermediate boxing of seven pegs along the fence, of which only two survive in place.MarkingsF*NICHOLSON / WRENTHAM
