DescriptionGold mourning ring with rectangular bezel holding small rectangular central reserve enclosing a lock of plaited hair surrounded by ten split pearls in gold settings, all on a black enamel ground. The reverse of the bezel engraved in script "Sarah Thorpe / ob 1 Jany 1827 / aet 3 ys". Shank with open shoulders showing roses on vines.
