C-scroll handle with rounded drop at upper juncture and oval disk at lower juncture to body; handle terminates in slightly domed plain oval disk. Stepped, domed lid with peened bell-shaped finial and hinge with tall, scrolled thumbpiece and shaped drop on top of handle InscribedEngraved on handle in block letters “I M” with a pellet between
MarkingsMarked in relief to left of handle: 1) “N Mors” in rectangle; note: mark is clear but very small [Kane mark G] and 2) larger mark with shaped cartouche enclosing “N Mor[s]” with crown above and lion [?] passant below; note: mark appears very soft or rubbed. Mark #1 is also struck on lid. Mark #2 appears to be previously unrecorded
