DescriptionSoup ladle with a round bowl flowing into a curved handle with a downturned rounded pointed end. A plain drop denotes the junction of the bowl and handle.Label TextGilbert Bigger, both a silversmith and a watchmaker, emigrated to Baltimore from Ireland and was in business by the end of the Revolutionary War. He maintained shops on Baltimore and Market Streets at various times, and died in 1816 at the age of about sixty-six.
