DescriptionPair of brass candlesticks of columnar form, each stem cast in two halves and peened onto cast bases. Each has a cylindrical moulded socket topped by an integral bobeche, en suite with the base, set above a large square knop, with a smaller one lower down the stem. Their slightly domed square bases have plain petals on the corners, and concave panels in between. Running through the hollow stem is an ejector rod, set with a small disc inside the base and a larger disc at the bottom of the socket.ca.1730-1750
