DescriptionPair of silver tablespoons: Each with downturned tipt handle with squared end and long rectangular drop on back of pointed oval bowl.Label TextAlexander Young was a prominent silversmith working in Camden, South Carolina between about 1807 and 1856. Horse racing was a popular pastime in early America and Camden was noted for both the horses raised and raced in that area. The engraving on these tablespoons reflects this interest.
