DescriptionPair of silver tablespoons: each with a pointed oval bowl and plain down-turned, straight fiddle handle with squared end (no backdrop, shoulders, or swagged tip).Label TextJohn Vogler (1783-1881) was a leading citizen in the Moravian religious community of Salem (now Winston-Salem), North Carolina. Best known of the town's early silversmiths, he also worked as a watch and instrument maker, gunsmith, brass founder, artist, and chairmaker.
