DescriptionPunch bowl: stepped spreading foot supports bowl of slightly flared shape. Decorated on the exterior with four black transfer prints: two with pastoral scenes and two masonic. The interior rim painted in black with a chain of diamonds connected by crosses all between two black bands; the well with a masonic black transfer print that includes the arms of the Premier Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons.ProvenanceIn the 1970s, the bowl was with Mrs. S. Davis of Venners Antiques (London, England); acquired in the 1980s by Countess ABN (Italy); sold by her estate on March 29, 2023, Dogny Auction (Lausanne, Switzerland); March 29, 2023 – June 27, 2024, with Martyn Edgell Antiques, Ltd. June 27, 2024, purchased by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (Williamsburg, Virginia).
