DescriptionDining table: oval top (with leaves open); plain edges; straight apron at either end, molded on bottom edge; single drawer at one end with wooden knob handle (original); 6 legs, 2 of which open to support leaves and are pinned through side stretchers at top and bottom; legs turned in combination of block, spool and upside-down baluster motifs; plain rectangular in cross section stretchers supporting gates, with single molding on outside edge; side stretchers of table molded on top outside edge and grooved at one end to receive matching groove in gate; end stretchers ball and ring turned; flattened ball feet with molded upper edge and incised line around circumference near bottom; traces of black paint on much of frame, appears to be original; top held on with battens at either end - battens pegged through end rails.Markings"PA" gouged into top surface.
