DescriptionShallow rimless bowl with rounded sides and incised foot ring. Blue tin glaze decorated with a Chinese landscape of houses, mimosa, and pine by a river. Outlining in manganese, water in blue, land in mixed green and yellow, and mimosa and pine in red. Below the edge, a narrow band of scalloped lines and dots in blue and manganese, interrupted by alternating stylized motifs in red and mixed green.
Label TextThe London attribution for this dish is based on its strong palette. Fragments with the loop and dot part of the border design seen here have been excavated in Williamsburg at the James Anderson House (IOAA).
