DescriptionPlate with incised foot ring. Blue tin glaze decorated in polychrome with a house on a bridge, water and a shoreline in the foreground, and a round, pagoda-like structure in the background. Outlined in manganese, house in blue, fencing in yellow, and leafage in mixed green with manganese dots. Reverse decorated in blue with three sprays on the rim and a Q-like mark on the base.Label TextThe Liverpool attribution for this delft plate is based on the decoration, which includes the typical Liverpool window motif. Shards showing a three-story building with identical Liverpool windows have been excavated in Williamsburg at the James Anderson Blacksmith Shop (10AB.2326).
