DescriptionPlaque molded with a 3/4 portrait of Elizabeth Canning within a Roccoco cartouche of irregular shape composed of c- and s-scrolls and shells. She faces frontward and gestures to the proper right and wears a white cap with blue trim and a green shawl over her blue and gold dress. The portrait against a mottled steel gray ground. The individual elements each painted in differing tortoiseshell oxide colors, including green, yellow, and blue. The back flat, with all-over gray coloring and some evidence of stilt marks under the paper lables.InscribedNone
