DescriptionLantern with circular strap suspension ring or carrying handle with moulded face and wire swivel attachment to center of top; top consisting of smaller circular drum on a larger circular drum with incised surface between and below; tall stright-sided body of hexagonal plan with large arch-topped openings in five of the sides with clear glass pane of conforming outline and simple wire catch; tubular reinforcements extending full height of sides of panes at corners with six large leaf finials above; body supported on three short conical feet (one missing); top and upper section of body above panes geometrically pierced; pane in door enclosed by a flat-chased running serpentine designProvenanceVendor: Lillian Blankley Cogan, Farmington, CT
