Houston fecit/ Wishing a Happy New Year to Grand Papa./ His second Offsprings Wish the Grandsire hears,/ And begs for them a happy length of Years./ And that their Path through Lifes hard dangerous Road,/ May prove much Kinder than his Footsteps Trod."
Label TextIn this domestic scene, a mother or governess brings a little boy and girl to wish their grandfather a happy new year.

The verse reads:
"Wishing a Happy New Year to Grand Papa.
His second Offsprings Wish the Grandsire hears,
And begs for them a happy length of Years.
And that their Path through Lifes hard dangerous Road,
May prove much Kinder than his Footsteps Trod."
