DescriptionThis is a coverlet woven of overshot structure in "tables and stars" pattern using homespun butternut brown and indigo wool with natural 2-ply cotton. The coverlet is made of panels with three lengthwise seams. The coverlet panels are inexpertly woven and not well matched at seams.ProvenanceCoverlet said to have been made in the Gloucester County, Virginia area.
