DescriptionSplat-back side chair; yoked crest rail with carved scroll at either end of raised center; slightly tapered rectangular stiles, flat in front and rounded at rear; tapering splat with two rows of vertical piercing set into molded shoe; square seat frame with rounded upper edge; rush slip seat with exposed walnut veneer on beech at corners; cabriole front legs with shaped brackets at knees terminating in high pad feet; blocked and cylindrically turned rear legs flaring to rear at base; tapering cylindrical side stretchers blocked at rear; serpentine medial stretcher, round on top, flat on bottom; cylindrical rear stretcher.1730-1780
