DescriptionLead-glazed earthenware (creamware) teapot of squat, baluster form with vertical fluting and a diamond-pierced gallery at the rim. A loop handle opposite a plain S-shaped spout; recessed base. The high-domed fluted lid with ball-shaped knop fits within the pierced gallery. The body and lid are decorated with vertical green stripes.InscribedUnderside of pot with collection label "DC Towner 270" (Donald C. Towner collection).
