DescriptionAlmost hemispherical punch bowl with vertical foot ring and overglaze enamel decoration. Red and Purple floral spray to center, with red and gold sprigged border design to interior edge. Outside with two scenic panels likely based on Booth's "Sailor's Farwell" and "Sailor's Return," respectively. Red and purple floral sprays between two scenic panels. The first with man in blue jacket and red-brown trousers embracing a woman in a yellow and magenta skirt with large ship flying the Union Jack in the background. The second, with much older man and woman in powdered wigs. The man in blue jacket, red waistcoat, and brown breeches pouring gold coins into woman's apron. The woman in magenta and yellow with green apron. The inside of the foot with yellowing discoloration and the inside of the bowl with associated yellowing. The warm grey glaze over an orange-buff body.Inscribedno
