DescriptionCoffee cup with straight sides from small foot ring with extruded, molded handle with gilt bellflowers and drops. White-gray body with blue-ish glaze. With dark blue scale ground and two large reserves, three medium, and five smaller ones. The large reserves painted as cartouches with gilt double ogee borders and comprising two of the same scenes as the saucer (acc. no. 1979-230, B). The one scene comprising a boy in yellow jacket and red breeches with drum. The other, a youth in red robes playing a triangle. Both in a garden surround in the style of Pillement. The medium reserves on either side of handle and between two larger scenes and each with a single bird in red, magenta, and black. The smallest reserves decorated as cartouches around the rim, each with a different insect. Inside of cup with ciselee gilt floral spray to bottom and gilt pattern to inside edge.Inscribedno
