DescriptionSalt-glazed stoneware jar with two applied lug handles. Floral decoration in cobalt blue on one side, "H. Lowndes's / Manufactory / Petersburg. Va." in cobalt blue script on opposite side. Terminals of handles decorated in cobalt blue.
Inscribed"H. Lowndes's / Manufactory / Petersburg. Va." in cobalt blue on one side of vessel.
