DescriptionWoman's single shoe of green silk satin, hand embroidered in scrolling floral design in green, blue, gold, brown and cream silks. Shoe is designed with a rounded toe and 1 1/2"-wide straps (latchets) with rounded ends to buckle over a high squared tongue. Thick heel, 2 1/8 inch high, covered with matching needlework. Shoe is bound with 1/2"-wide green twill tape edging the uppers and covering the seams at sides and up the back of the heel. Lined with tabby woven linen and green silk. She is made as a straight, with leather soles. Needlework stitches include satin, French knots, and buttonhole.
