DescriptionCotton shirt for boy or woman's riding habit. White cotton shirt with wide, single-thickness collar, edged with 1 1/2" ruffle of finer cotton which extends partially down front openings. Triangular fitting gusset at either side of neck, joining collar. Seams at the top of the shoulders. Shirt opens completely down front, finished with 1/4" hems. Long sleeves with underarm gussets and 1/2 inch wristbands, trimmed with 1 1/2" ruffles. Bottom finished by turning under 1/4" and hemming; no bottom vents.ProvenanceFound in Philadelphia antique shop.
