DescriptionTablespoon: downturned handle ("Old English") type. Broad flat handle face of loop-shaped outline; shank D-shaped in section; rather long narrow oval bowl with raised single drop on underside. Cast raised decoration of a flowering tree in inverted position on face of handle.
Label TextThis pewter spoon of Old English form with cast foliate decoration has a tradition of descent in the Bailey family of Lynn, Massachusetts. It is probably of New England origin.
