DescriptionSquare tile: white tin glaze decorated in reddish-brown with a copperplate transfer print of a rustic couple seated before a windmill all within a rococo scroll border.
Label TextTransfer-printed delft objects are rare, with the exception of tiles, which were produced in great numbers in Liverpool. Both romantic scenes and rococo borders were popular.
