DescriptionSquare tile with canted sides. Bluish tin glaze decorated in blue with a small central sprig of stylized leaves, beans, and flowers; quarter-rose corners.
Label TextAnother tile with the same quarter-rose corners has an equally small central floral motif in polychrome. This corner design is also found on London-made tiles. Three waster shards of a tile or tiles that show a related version of the quarter- rose corners were excavated at Temple Back in Bristol. Fragments of a tile with the same corners and a small central design in the same series as this have been excavated in Williamsburg at a site within present-day Merchants Square (15AA.0316).
