DescriptionSide chair with serpentine crest rail with carved shell in center terminating in molded ears; pierced interlaced splat with carved volutes over a shaped shoe; trapezoidal slipseat; seat rails molded on outer top corners and undercut with shallow arch; cabriole front legs and knee brackets with foliate carving over ball and claw feet; rounded "stump" rear legs rake towards back.Inscribed.1 numberd "I" on inside of front rail and "3" in chalk on inside of rear reail.
