DescriptionWoman's shoe, one of a pair, constructed of white worsted wool satin embroidered with multicolor crewel wools in a floral scrolling pattern. Shoe is made with pointed toe and short straps with eyelets to tie over a high square tongue. Shoe has 2 1/4"-high red leather-covered heel, so-called "Louis" heel. Edges are bound with faded red silk tape. Shoe has been altered by the addition of a later paste buckle. Lined with linen and leather.Construction History:
