DescriptionWoman's shoe, one of a pair, constructed of silk brocaded with silver gilt metallic threads in a semi-abstract pattern of leaves and half circles enclosing radiating half circles. Pointed toe, high square tongue, two flaps for buckling across instep, and 3 1/8"-high shaped thick heel. Binding of white silk ribbon. Linen plain-woven linings; peach silk damask lining on upper portion of tongue. Leather soles; wooden heels. Shoes are "straights."Construction History:
