DescriptionWoman's gown in two pieces of ribbed striped silk trimmed with tabby-woven silk. Bodice (a) has high neckline and center-front hook opening. Diagonal fabric tucks across bodice front from waistline to shoulders. Full sleeves, narrowing below wrist. Purple piping trim. High waistband. Ties on inside waist at center back. Bodice fully lined in cotton. Skirt (b) of matching striped silk with three bands of softly padded purple silk at hem. Straps to hold skirt at high waistline position are made of white cotton.
