DescriptionThis is a coverlet double-woven with dark blue wool and white cotton; center-seamed; self-fringed sides and bottom; and rolled-over hem at top. The side borders are doubled and show a multi-storied building and perching birds on either side of a fruited tree. There are no corner blocks. The lower border is only a narrow band of a Greek key design. The interior consists of ornate floral medallions interspersed with smaller sprays and simpler shapes and sprigs.
Label TextOnly a Greek key forms the narrow lower border of this coverlet. A double row of birds, fruited trees, and buildings edges both sides. The piece is self-fringed on three sides.
