Label TextThis print, depicting the month of September is part of a set of twelve prints representing the months of the year. Themed sets, such as this were popular throughout the eighteenth-century in England and America. In the September print, the fall harvest has come and she holds a large bunch of grapes in one hand, is about to place them in a basket on a table beside her, which also contains other fruit. In her other hand she holds a staff intertwined with vines.
