DescriptionSmall drop-leaf table made of parquetry inlaid rosewood. The rectangular top with parquetry inlaid and a crossbanded edge flanked by short drop leaves above a skirt with drawer on inlaid square tapering legs ending in casters. One drawer with two round handles.Construction: Table rails are tenoned to the legs as are the top and bottom rails around the drawer; side rails are made of three boards: one inner, one outer, and one bottom; the inner and bottom boards are tenoned to the legs while the outer board appears to be glued to the inner rail; the top of the table is attached to these three part side rails sides by screws in pockets on the outer rail; drawer supports nailed to side rails; the drawer has standard dovetail construction with chamfered bottom slid into dados in the front and sides and nailed along the back; there are quarter round moldings glued to the interior sides and back of the drawer along the bottom.
