DescriptionOne of a pair of pearlware (china glaze) quintals decorated with high temperature colors. One side features a scene of two nude children playing with a garland of leaves, and the reverse shows two nude children who appear to be wrestling. The scenes are framed by cartouches in high-fired red-orange, pink, and blue. Shell edge decoration on the rim, shoulder, and base is highlighted in red-orange.ca. 1790
