DescriptionBottle, bulbous-bodied bottle with narrow neck, strap handle, and flared base. White tin glaze decorated in blue with the inscription "WHIT 1654" and figure-eight swirls beneath.
Label Text"Whit" is a shortened form of the word "white," for "white wine," the term used in England at least since 1300 to differentiate the clear, yellow and slightly pink wines from the reds.
