DescriptionGlobular bodied bottle with tall cylindrical neck, flared lip, and molded base. Bluish tin glaze decorated in blue with a European landscape including a shepherd, a shepherdess with sheep, and a memorial obelisk; two butterflies at top of neck.Label TextInsects such as these butterflies, rarely found on delft, are extremely common on porcelain of the mid eighteenth century. The London attribution is based on the shape and the decoration.
