DescriptionShallow bowl with everted rim, cylindrical foot ring, and flat scalloped-edge handle pierced with one round and two heart-shaped holes. White tin glaze decorated in blue: on the interior, a bird on a rock and stylized flowers; on the exterior, the inscription "W E 1698."
Label TextFragments of porringer handles of this type have been excavated at Jamestown, Virginia, and in Williamsburg at Bassett Hall (iAA.O168).
