DescriptionTobacco jar. Red-bodied cylindrical jar showing slight ridges from turning. Horizontal band of inscription below rim reads in trailed cream colored slip on red body "Thoams Cook Scorton the Best Vergininea", below inscription is single scrolled band also trailed in cream colored slip. Over interior and exterior (abb but base) coating of thick yellow lead glaze.InscribedInscribed "Thomas Cooke, Scorton the Best Verginea."
