DescriptionGaming Purse, typically used in the 17th century to hold coins or tokens at the gaming table. Circular flat-bottomed bag of dark red velvet embroidered with conventionalized flowers in silver bullion thread. Drawstrings of yellow silk braid ending in two tassels (Tassels have wooden center on opposite sides of purse). Interior lining of white kid.
