DescriptionWindsor Armchair. Continuous bowed back rail molded on front edge, rounded at back; composed of seven spindles which are baluster turned near seat; pair of curving mahogany arms molded on upper edge and terminating in flat-sided scrolls; arm support and smaller spindle at center; dished saddle seat with projection at rear for pair of spindles which are dowelled into back rail forming brace back; continuous groove cut back into back of seat which runs around spindles and arm supports; four raking baluster turned legs braced by three bulbous turned stretchers, one at each side and one medial.Woods: Mahogany arms, hickory bow, spindles, maple arm supports, legs and stretchers, cedar or white pine seat.
