DescriptionUrn-shaped vase with curved and everted lip, high flared base, and two flattened C-scroll handles. Bluish tin glaze decorated in deep and light blue on both sides with a European landscape and a lady carrying a basket on her arm pointing toward a large covered urn on a pedestal. On the base, a stylized Chinese pattern.Label TextThe decoration on this vase or flower pot relates to that on several pieces of delft in the CWF collection: two plates (accessions 1972-393 and 1977-23) and another vase (accession 1955-87). The handles as well as the decoration on this example are similar to those on a vase in the Bristol Museum. The London attribution is based on the decoration.
