DescriptionAppearance: Slat backed, turned great chair; large bulbous finials; stiles ornamented with small balustroidal turning and vegier marks; three plain arched and bowed slats; broad flat arm rests; additional turned stretcher between arm supports and stiles; arm support has two organic ball turnings, terminating in a mushroom like finial; rush seat (modern); two front stretchers turned with same pattern as side stretchers above the seat rails; five other stretchers shaved. Construction: Maple throughout with exception of ash stretchers; slats tenoned into stiles, top slat pinned in front; arm rests tenoned into stiles and arm support; seat rails and stretchers round tenoned into stiles and front legs.
