DescriptionBaluster back side chair; maple rear stiles turned with rings, balusters, incised lines, and ball finials; arched and bowed maple crest rail and flat bowed ash bottom slat tenoned into stiles; five ash spindles round tenoned into crest rail and bottom slat; center spindle has double baluster and ring turnings flattened front and back, remaining four spindles have single baluster turning with incised lines and double ring at base; maple forn legs plain turned; ash side stretchers plain turned; 2 front and 1 rear ash stretchers turned with swelled centers and incised lines; plain turned ash seat rails round tenoned into legs and stiles and covered with woven oak splints. Maple legs and slats, hickory stretchers and spindles.
