DescriptionMan's night or undress cap made from undecorated white plain-woven (tabby) linen. Cap is cut in one piece with felled seam up one side and curved dome at crown. 1/4" (6 mm) hem at edge. Bottom of cap is designed to roll up to form a brim during wear.
Label TextAlthough many embroidered and patterned men's caps survive, this is a rare example of a plain cap of the type worn by men while working or sleeping.
