DescriptionSoup plate with underglaze cobalt blue decoration. Stylized floral and arabesque decoration in center medallion. Cavetto with densely painted diapered latticework and "auspicious" motifs of vases and flowers, perhaps asters. Rim with three larger floral sprays, with four smaller flowering tree branches between. Edge of rim with traces of gilding. The rim of the plate with the arms of Pott with Clarke in pretence in underglaze cobalt blue and over-glaze red and green enamels with gilt highlights. Bright white body, with thin glaze exhibiting slight orange-peel texture. Pronounced unglazed foot ring. Potting marks evident.InscribedNone
