One of a pair of Staffordshire pearlware dolphin-form sauceboats, each with a slightly open mouth forming the spout and a looped tail forming the handle, the body molded with green-washed scales delineated in manganese, the rim molded at the edge with green-washed water weeds, and the lower body fluted above a slightly waisted oval foot.ProvenancePurchased from David Newbon, London, 12/28/1974
