Label TextSilver in the rococo revival style harkens back to its namesake, but objects are larger and heavier than rococo-style objects. Relief chasing and cast decorations cover most surfaces, creating an inseparable merger of form and ornament. Ivory, or silver with ivory insulating rings, is used more commonly than wood for tea and coffeepot handles.
InscribedCoat of arms engraved on all four objects: shield with gold ground; black ship with black double headed eagle with ship’s mast above; red hand couped; crest of black martlet on rocks on torse above helmet.
