DescriptionChild-size teapot decorated with neoclassical designs including central fruit and foliage decoration and narrow borders around the rims and feet. The teapot is drum-shaped with a straight spout and double intertwined handle with foliated antefixes.Label TextThis pattern is typical of Chinese export porcelain sold in America during the early nineteenth century. The pieces in this partial set are child-sized, rather than miniature, which supports evidence that children were instructed in proper tea-drinking etiquette.
