DescriptionBaluster-shaped cream jug with everted pouring lip and stepped circular foot. Fine border of beading at rim and on foot; handle formed of entwined reeded straps with floral junctures. Domed lid with narrow horizontal rim and floral knop. Cream Jug: Both body and cover are decorated with polychrome enameled King's Rose pattern consisting of roses, miscellaneous flowers and leaves in red, green, blue, purple, black, and yellow.Label TextCreamware cream pots with lids are rare survivals. This example completes an assembled tea and coffee service in the King's Rose pattern that matches archaeological shards from various sites within Williamsburg's historic area.
