DescriptionWhole-cloth bed quilt of copperplate-printed linen in blue on white in a pattern of trailing floral sprigs and vines, with shell-like flowers, crocuses, roses, daisies, bachelor's buttons, lilies, thistles, and varied leaves. Quilted with 6 to 8 linen running stitches per inch in a central rectangular frame about 9 inches wide, with fillings of diamonds in several sizes, zig-zag parallel rows of stitching, and scallops. Backing of pieced-up plain-woven linens. Quilt has been cut down and the edges turned under to be covered by a new backing.
