DescriptionHat box: domed box with flat base; hinged lid with wrought iron catch and lock at front; full length drawer near base with central oval brass escutcheon; lid; sides, front and drawer outlined with brass tacks; large brass plate on top with bail handle; "Capt. Probyn" engraved on plate; interior of box plain.
